Appreciation

So while i was working on the Gunshoot heart design my good friend ask me a good question: "Why do you put so much time nd effort into you dezigns? Who is gonna take the time nd APPRECIATE the detail?" This question caught me off guard an had me stomped. I didnt know how to answer it. So I told him "When I take my time nd put a massive amount of detail in my work its more for me nd not anyone else. This is something that im extremely passionate about so I would feel like a failure if i didnt try to do my best." Even thou that is true I would still like it if someone looked at my work nd said "Wow that looks nice nd you can tell that he is really passionate about what he does." The best satisfaction I got from all my work is when someone close to me sent me a screen shot of their blackberry nd they used one of my dezigns as there Background. That was one of the best moments in my dezign career. To know that someone liked my work so much that they would want to see it everytime they looked at their phone. But how do i get more people like that? How do i gain a fan base and really how do i get my work out? And in the future who will still APPRECIATE it?
